1. OBJECTIVES

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to…

1.1. Language knowledge & skills

- talk about a natural wonder in their country using the vocabulary: outstanding, charged particle, interact, magnetic field, the Arctic Circle, massive, carve, process, formation, stretch, grand.

- practise reading for specific information.

1.2. Competences

- improve students’ communication, collaboration, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

1.3. Attributes

- be proud of the country by talking about natural wonders in the country.

- be responsible for preserving the national features.

4. PROCEDURES

A. Warm-up: (5’)

a) Objective: to introduce the new lesson and set the scene for students to acquire the new language knowledge and skills; get students' attention at the beginning of the class with enjoyable and short activities and engage them in the follow-up steps.

b) Content: Reviewing some words related to natural wonders that they have learned.

c) Expected outcomes: Students have general ideas about the topic of the new lesson.

d) Organisation of the activity:
