I. OBJECTIVES

By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to:

1. Knowledge

- Gain an overview about types of mass media;

- Memorise vocabulary to talk about types of mass media.

2. Competences

- Develop communication skills;

- Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and teamwork;

- Actively join in class activities.

3. Personal qualities

- Be responsible for the community.

4. Digital Competences (Năng lực số)

Students are able to:

· 1.2NC1a: Analyze, compare, and evaluate the reliability and validity of data sources, information, and digital content (when discussing the reliability of different media types in Task 1).

· 2.1NC1b: Show others the most appropriate digital communication method for a given context (when choosing media for specific situations in Task 2).

· 2.2NC1a: Share data, information, and digital content with others through suitable digital technologies (when discussing sharing charity info via social media).

· 4.3NC1b: Apply different ways to protect oneself and others from risks in the digital environment (when discussing cyberbullying solutions).

III. PROCEDURES

1. WARM-UP (5 mins)

a. Objectives:

- To stir up the atmosphere and activate students’ knowledge on the topic;

- To set the context for the speaking part.
